Aldona is a sleepy and green village in the Taluk Bardez in North Goa. The village is 14 kms from district headquarters Panaji and 8 kms from Bardez. The nearby cities to Aldona are Mapusa, Panaji and Marmagao. The local language in Aldona is Konkani though Marathi, Hindi, English and Portuguese are also widely spoken. Being near Arabian Sea, Aldona might experience slight humidity in weather. The temperature in Aldona varies from 17degree C- 35 degree C. Peak season for tourists is from October to March though some may stay till March basking in the stillness of the village. The nearby villages to Aldona are Mayem, Moira, Sirigao, Assanora and Thivim.

The most common mode of transport is car and motorbike. The primary occupation of the people is agriculture. Fishing is also hugely popular with Mandovi river passing through the village.
